SCHULZ ROCKET-S
Mobile pressure tank for cold and warm hopping using hop pellets or cone hops.
The SCHULZ Rocket S is available in 2 different sizes depending on hopping requirements:
Designed for maximum pellet load of 10 kg (S-10) or 50 kg (S-50) per hopping procedure.
Facts:
- Flexible use with hop pellets and cones
- Oxygen-free operation prevents oxidation
- Defined contact time for consistent results
- No CO2 losses in the beer
- Flexible use in different process areas
- Mobile frame and practical integrated work table
Dry hopping in the storage tank
The hop pellets are placed dry into the vessel. The closed vessel is flushed with CO2 and then pressurised. The two outlets of the storage tank are connected with the special pump to form a circuit to circulate the beer. The pellets are sucked into the circulation circuit by the vacuum created by the self-priming or self-venting centrifugal pump. The storage tank can then be further homogenised as desired without needing an additional circulation pump in the circuit.
A sieve insert and tangential circulation line can be used to merely extract the hops inserted without introducing larger quantities of solids into the tank. If necessary, the hop residues can be reused again in the brewhouse as a source of bitter substances. The vessel is also suitable for making extracts from raw hops.
During pressurised operation, the vessel is protected by the connection with the tank (bung device or safety valve).
The procedure can be repeated as often as necessary to process larger quantities of hops. To do this, the vessel is depressurised via the tangential tap and refilled.
Aroma hopping upstream of the wort cooler
To reduce the trub load of the whirlpool, hops can be infused in the hot zone using a rocket and a sieve insert when cooling the wort in the bypass.
