In this episode of our Delight beer style series, we cover the so-called champagne of the north – the Berliner Weisse. Originally created around the 16th century, this style of beer almost fell into oblivion over time and has been revived by a number of breweries in the last decade. This also includes the Lemke brewery in Berlin, which now brews 24 beers all year round, including several varieties of Berliner Weisse. Owner Oli Lemke explains to us personally what matters in production and what subtleties have to be taken into account during fermentation.
