In this episode of our new category ‘DELIGHT’ we want to showcase an absolute highlight of our hometown of Bamberg: Smoked Beer.

One of the only two traditionally operating smoked beer breweries worldwide is the Brauerei Spezial.

From a special organic variety, only grown for them by organic farmers, they produce their own smoked malt in a traditional and highly manual process, before the brewing even begins.
