Bamberg – To strengthen the operational business, Kai Neubauer will take over the management of the tradition-rich Bamberg company KASPAR SCHULZ Brauereimaschinenfabrik & Apparatebauanstalt GmbH on 1st October 2022.

Over the past 14 years, Johannes Schulz-Hess (46), the tenth generation of the family and sole director of the company, has transformed it from a single enterprise into a broad-based systems supplier. In the process, a group was created by acquiring three other companies. The group now employs a total of 385 people, up from 82 at the beginning of this period. “As a result of this growth, my responsibilities as a shareholder of the other divisions have also grown considerably. For this reason, we are now augmenting the management team in a targeted fashion so that we can continue to pursue our goals at KASPAR SCHULZ with one hundred percent focus and additional expertise”, explains Johannes Schulz-Hess.

With the arrival of the new managing director, the family company will in future focus specifically on sales and networking, the integration of the individual companies and the strategic development of the group, which in particular includes targeted marketing, digitalisation projects and sustainability management. As the single shareholder, he will remain the top representative of the family business.

Kai Neubauer (53) is highly motivated: “It is both an honour and a pleasure for me to be able to lead a company with such a long history as KASPAR SCHULZ. Above all, however, my greatest responsibility is towards the owner, the employees and the corporate culture. I am looking forward to tackling this challenge with all my ability to ensure reliability for our customers and to shape further growth. I will be working together in close and trusting collaboration with Johannes Schulz-Hess and you can expect a great deal from us as your new management duo.

Kai Neubauer brings with him many years of experience as a managing director of mid-sized machine and plant manufacturers that will benefit his new area of responsibility. He has also been active in an honorary capacity at the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) since 2006 and has been a member of the main board since 2019.
