SCHULZ honoured as one of BAVARIA’S BEST 50

Bamberg - KASPAR SCHULZ Brauereimaschinenfabrik & Apparatebauanstalt e.K., a Bamberg-based company with a long tradition, were honoured as one of BAVARIA’S BEST 50 in the course of the festivities that took place to mark this occasion in the Kaisersaal ballroom of the Munich Residence on the 29th of July, 2015.

The prize commissioned by the Bavarian Ministry of State for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology recognises companies that see new chances for growth and employment and consistently act upon them. The prize-winners were selected by the independent auditing company Baker Tilly Roelfs AG on the basis of objective criteria. Bavaria’s Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner personally complimented the companies for their commitment and innovative spirit.

Led by the family in its tenth generation, KASPAR SCHULZ manufactures turnkey brewery and malting plants that are currently distributed to over 63 countries. Bamberg’s oldest industrial company still in existence, SCHULZ recently not only expanded its production facilities by 2000 m2, but also increased its workforce by 52 to a total 148 employees in the last five years alone. During this period, its turnover grew by 67 percent. Seventeen percent of the workforce currently consists of apprentices. These positive developments can be attributed primarily to the acquisition of new markets and the company’s innovative strength.

“In my opinion, this award is a direct tribute to the achievements of my employees over the past several years and to our commitment to creating new jobs. As a company that has grown over the centuries, we are very proud to have developed this economic potential through our forward-looking strategic planning”, says owner and CEO Johannes Schulz-Hess.
